Home solar · Wayanad
One price. Nothing removable.
Most solar quotes are a headline number with the details left vague, so there is room to quietly take things out later. Ours is the opposite. Here is every part that goes on your roof, what changes for your roof type, and exactly what happens between saying yes and your first bill without an energy charge.
₹2,40,000 3 kW
Everything on this page included. The price rises with roof type and site needs; it never quietly shrinks in scope.

The EMI matches 3 kW because the loan is still ₹2,00,000 — the difference is cash at the start, not every month.
Starting prices, flat roof. Shaded roof? SolarEdge with optimisers — priced at survey. *EMI is bank-dependent.
The whole list.
Not a summary. This is what a 3 kW system on a flat roof actually contains, and none of it is an optional extra we come back for later.
If another quote is cheaper, this is the list to compare it against — line by line. Most of the difference between two prices lives in rows four to nine, where nobody looks.

Three roofs, three different jobs.
Prices quoted anywhere — ours included — assume a flat roof, because that is the simplest structure to build. If yours isn't flat, the work changes and so does the price. Here is what changes, so nobody has to pretend to be surprised later.
FLAT · CONCRETE TERRACE
The baseline.
An elevated GI frame, tilted to the right angle, standing on concrete footings cast over waterproofing. No holes drilled into the slab. The space under the panels stays usable, and the terrace stays a terrace.
This is the roof our listed prices are for.
TILED · SLOPED
More structure, more care.
A welded GI frame sits on the purlins and the panels follow the slope — a flat-roof build without the concrete, with every cutout sealed in silicone and tar sheet. What it costs depends on the pitch, the tile type and how the roof is built underneath, which is why we confirm after seeing it.
SHEET · TRUSS
Aluminium, riveted, no welding.
A good-angle sheet takes aluminium rails riveted straight to it, sealed with rubber sheet. A steep one takes a welded GI frame on top instead.
- Both methods cost the same, so it is a choice rather than a saving.
- Flush-mounted runs warmer and gives up some rear-side gain; an elevated frame breathes better.
- The truss has to carry it. We check that before quoting, not after.
Whichever you have, the price is confirmed after we have stood on it. Not before, and not by phone. A number given without seeing a roof is a number that will change.
What actually happens, and roughly when.
The panels go up in a couple of days. Everything around them — approvals, meter, subsidy — takes longer, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling.
- Site visit and a real quote. A fixed price for your roof, not a phone estimate.
- Portal and KSEB filings. Ours. You send documents and read out a few OTPs.
- Loan signing. One visit to the bank, if you're taking one.
- Materials on site. Anything not in Wayanad comes from wherever it is.
- Installation. A standard 3 kW is a few days on the roof.
- Net meter and KSEB inspection. Their calendar, not ours.
- Commissioning report. Filed the same week — this is what releases your subsidy.
- ₹78,000 to your account. Typically 15–30 working days after that.
The part most companies skip.
Your system reports to an app on your phone — today's generation, this month's, every month since. The same numbers arrive on our screen in the office, and we look at them every morning.
That is the difference between a system that quietly underperforms for years and one where somebody notices in week two. No service plan, no renewal — it is just what we do.

Answered straight.
How much roof do I actually need?
Roughly 200 square feet of unshaded roof for 3 kW, and about 350 for 5 kW — more if the roof is oddly shaped or broken up by tanks, stairs and parapets. On a flat terrace the panels sit raised, so the floor underneath stays usable.
What happens at night and during a power cut?
At night you draw from KSEB and your daytime export offsets it — that is what net metering does. During a power cut an on-grid system shuts down by design, because feeding power into a dead line would be dangerous for the people repairing it. If you want power during outages you need a battery, which is a different system and a different conversation — we have written that one out here.
What about the monsoon and cloudy months?
Generation drops — there is no honest way around it. That is exactly why we size against your yearly usage rather than a good month, and why TOPCon panels matter more in Wayanad than almost anywhere else in Kerala: they hold up better in diffuse, cloudy light. Rain also does most of your panel cleaning for you.
Do panels damage my roof?
Not the way we build. On a flat roof the structure stands on concrete footings cast over waterproofing, so nothing is drilled through your slab. Anchor bolts — the faster, cheaper method — put a hole through the roof at every leg, and every hole is one monsoon away from being a leak.
How often does it need cleaning?
Less often than people expect, because Wayanad rain does much of it. What matters is not a schedule but noticing: dirt sitting in one place drags output down and can void a panel warranty. Since we watch your generation every morning, we tend to know before you would.
Can I add more panels later?
Sometimes — it depends on inverter headroom, roof space and your sanctioned load, and it means fresh KSEB approval. It is almost always cheaper to size correctly now than to extend later, which is why we size above today's usage rather than exactly at it.
Do I need to pay anything else?
Not to us. The only other charge is KSEB’s security charge: about ₹1,100 per kW when you apply. About ₹800 per kW of it comes back after installation, so the real cost is around ₹300 per kW — roughly ₹900 on a 3 kW.
You pay it to KSEB directly, and KSEB refunds it to your account — never through ours. That’s why it isn’t inside our price.
